Phenylephrine HCl is a vasoconstrictor which works by temporarily narrowing the blood vessels in the area and helps shrink swollen tissues. One of our unique ingredients in our formula is magnesium sulfate which helps soothe pain, promotes wound repair, and quickens the healing process.
- Balsam Fir is another unique ingredient we added to our formula too. Fun fact: balsam fir was historically used in the American Civil War to treat combat injuries due to its medicinal and healing properties. It also provides a fresh clean scent that other hemorrhoid ointments lack. Some other key ingredients we have in our formula are aloe extract and witch hazel.
- Aloe extract is known to have natural restorative and antiseptic properties and helps to relieve irritated skin and swelling. Witch hazel is another powerful antiseptic ingredient. Witch hazel also has astringent properties which makes it great for treating hemorrhoids as those properties help minimize the swelling of tissues and shrink inflamed veins and blood vessels.
